If your LM1 is producing inaccurate, inconsistent or unexpected readings, there are a few things to check before contacting our Support Team.
Check Your Setup
Correct positioning is important for the LM1 to accurately capture your shots. Make sure the LM1 is positioned correctly behind the ball and is level with the hitting surface.

Make Sure You Have Enough Ball Flight
The LM1 requires at least 12 feet of ball flight before the ball hits the net.
If there is less than 12 feet of ball flight, the LM1 may not have enough time to capture the necessary data. This can result in shorter or inconsistent calculated distances, particularly with faster ball speeds.
For more information, please see:

Check the Selected Club
Always make sure the club selected on the LM1 matches the club you are actually hitting.
Whenever you change clubs during a practice or range session, select the appropriate club on the LM1 before hitting your next shot. If the incorrect club is selected, the calculated yardages may not be accurate.
Still Having Problems?
If the readings are still inaccurate or inconsistent after checking the above, please contact the Shot Scope Support Team and provide the following information:
- What type of golf balls you are using.
- Whether you're using the LM1 indoors, outdoors or both.
- Which mode you're using: Speed, Range or Course.
- Whether the issue occurs with all clubs or only certain clubs.
- Whether you rehearse your takeaway or waggle the club before swinging.
- A photo of your complete LM1 setup, including the position of the LM1, ball and net/target area.
A photo of your setup is particularly helpful, as it allows our Support Team to identify anything in the environment or positioning that may be affecting the LM1's performance.
